
Al Badia Cement Company (JSC) was established in 2006 in the Syrian Arab Republic as a public joint-stock company, with a major investment from the Saudi Al-Muhaidib Holding Group and a group of elite Arab and foreign investors and Syrian businessmen.
Since 2011, the company has successfully entered the local market and marketed its cement products to the highest quality standards, while fully adhering to the principles of governance and transparency and complying with applicable regulations, laws, and legislation.

The company’s core business is the manufacture of clinker and all types of Portland Cement, as well as sulphate-resistant cement, and to provide products of the highest quality to meet all construction, reconstruction, and infrastructure project needs through an advanced dry-process production line with an annual production capacity of 1.6 million tons of cement.
Al Badia Cement Plant is distinguished for its location near the Syrian capital Damascus and occupies a strategically important location for the markets of Damascus, Rural Damascus, and the southern and central regions. The company has successfully maintained the prestigious position achieved by its “Al Jamal” brand products in the building materials market.

Al-Badia Cement Company launched new investments in 2025 to expand the first production line by enhancing grinding and packaging capacities, expanding electricity generation, and starting construction of the second production line to increase the company’s production capacity, which will contribute to supplying the Syrian market with additional quantities of cement, an important material for reconstruction.

Mr. Emad Al Muhaidib serves as Vice Chairman of Al Muhaidib Group and leads the Group's development activities in the Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also serves on the boards of several companies within the Group, including Masdar, Thabat Construction, the Middle East Paper Company "MEPCO," the Waste Collection and Recycling Company "WASCO," and United Feed Company, in addition to holding board memberships in several other companies. Mr. Emad Al Muhaidib is also recognized for his significant contributions to charitable and humanitarian initiatives. He is a member of the Makkah Region Council and serves as Vice Chairman of its Economic and Social Committee. He also holds memberships in a number of charitable associations and non-profit organizations. Mr. Emad Al Muhaidib holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce from King Saud University and was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Lisbon in Portugal.

Eng. Raed Al Mudaiheem has more than 25 years of distinguished engineering and management experience across both the public and private sectors. In 1997, he joined Abdulkadir Al Muhaidib & Sons Group as General Manager of Al Muhaidib Building Materials Company. He was subsequently appointed Managing Director in 2005. In 2014, he was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Masdar Building Materials, where he achieved notable success in managing operations and supporting the company's growth and expansion plans. Eng. Raed Al Mudaiheem currently serves on the boards of several leading companies, contributing his strategic expertise to promoting growth and enhancing operational efficiency. He holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from King Saud University in Riyadh.
Mr. Khaled Al Sawaf joined Al Badia Cement Company in September 2007 as Project Manager and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in September 2009. Under his exceptional leadership of an elite team, he successfully built the company from the ground up, managed its successful IPO, secured the necessary financing, and completed the project on schedule. He has also ensured seamless operational continuity from 2011 to the present, achieving sustainable growth amid difficult and challenging conditions. Mr. Al Sawaf has extensive experience in industrial management, having made a decisive contribution to the development of innovative projects, products, and solutions across the Middle East. His strategic focus is on building high-performing teams capable of achieving financial and operational goals with exceptional efficiency. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Quality Systems Management from the University of Wollongong in Australia.
